At AX Technologies Uganda, we operate strictly as an enterprise Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) provider and technology data processor. We do not sell, rent, monetize, broker, or trade institutional or personal data to third parties, advertisers, or behavioral profiling agencies.
1. Principles of Data Protection
In accordance with Section 3 of the Data Protection and Privacy Act 2019 of Uganda, all processing across SmartSchool.ug, TradeDesk POS, SmartPharma.ug, SmartCare.ug, and BizBooks.ug adheres strictly to lawfulness, purpose specification, data minimization, accuracy, storage limitation, integrity, and absolute confidentiality.
2. Categories of Information Processed
SmartSchool.ug: Student marks, continuous assessment AoI scores, UNEB/CBC grading descriptors, parent contacts for SMS fee receipts and report release alerts, and bursar payment ledgers.
TradeDesk POS: Commercial sales transactions, cashier shift logs, product barcodes, wholesale vs. retail unit pricing, and telecom reference IDs (MTN MoMo and Airtel Money).
SmartPharma.ug: Pharmaceutical drug inventory, batch numbers, manufacture & expiry dates (30/60/90 days alerts), and prescription dispensing records.
SmartCare.ug: Outpatient and inpatient clinical records, triage vital signs, consultation diagnosis codes, lab test requests/results, and bed allocation adhering to doctor-patient confidentiality.
BizBooks.ug: Double-entry journal ledgers, charts of accounts, invoices, expenses, and tax records for URA compliance.
3. Multi-Tenant Database Isolation & Security
Every school, clinic, merchant, and enterprise operates on a logically segregated database schema. All network traffic is encrypted via TLS 1.3 / SSL 256-bit encryption. System credentials are cryptographically hashed using salted Argon2/Bcrypt algorithms, and automated offsite snapshots are executed every 24 hours.
4. Data Subject Rights Under Uganda Law
Under Sections 24–30 of the Uganda DPPA 2019, users retain the right of access, rectification, erasure, objection, and guaranteed data portability in standard machine-readable formats (Excel / CSV / SQL dump).
